Delhi District Secondary School played host to the CWOSSA soccer “A” tournament on May 30 and 31.

All of the Norfolk schools participating were knocked out on the Thursday and did not go on to the finals of the competition.

Boys Pool A

Walkerton 3-0 win over Delhi

Pere Rene de Galinee 3-1 win over Delhi

Delhi boys finished in the standing with 0 points, a plus/minus of -5, and placed 3 of the three teams in their pool.

Boys Pool B

Valley Heights 2-2 tie with Kincardine

Emmanuel Christian 4-1 win over Valley Heights

Valley finished with 1 point, a plus/minus of -1, and placed third overall in their pool of three teams.

Girls Pool A

Walkerton 7-0 win over Delhi

Woodland 6-0 win over Delhi

The Delhi girls finished with 0 points, a -13 plus/minus value, and finished in third in their three team pool.

Girls Pool B

Waterford 0-0 tied game with Kincardine

Emmanuel Christian 4-0 win over Waterford

The Waterford girls finished with 0 points, a plus/minus of -4, and placed third.

Paris District High School hosted the “AA” CWOSSA tournament on May 29 and 30. Both the Simcoe Composite School teams participated.

The Simcoe Composite boys made it to the semi-finals.

In their first day they won 3-2 over Sacred Heart, lost 1-0 to Preston, and then came back later in the afternoon to win 4-1 against Our Lady of Lourdes.

They went on to the second day to lose 6-3 against St. David in the semi-finals.

The Simcoe girls tied Saugeen 1-1 in their first game of the pool, they then lost 4-0 to Galt, and 3-1 to Bishop Mac. They did not go on to the second day.
