Local wineries and craft breweries will uncork many new ciders, wines and beer at An Orchard Affair on Sunday.

The annual event, now in its 10th year, is a fundraiser for the Ontario’s South Coast Wineries and Growers Association, the non-profit organization working to elevate the profile of local wine, beer and cider in Norfolk County and beyond.

Those in attendance will have a chance to taste ciders made by Blueberry Hill Estates, Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery, Hounds of Erie Winery, Villa Nova Estate Winery, Wooden Bear L Winery, and The Cider Keg.

Participating wineries include Burning Kiln Winery, Inasphere Wines, Rush Creek Wines, Frisky Beaver Wine Co. and Smoke & Gamble while breweries include The Blue Elephant, Charlotteville Brewing Company, Concession Road Brewing Company, Hometown Brew Co., New Limburg Brewery and Ramblin’ Road Brewery Farm.

Food trucks from David’s Restaurant and Andy’s Drive-In will be on-site to provide a variety of dishes to complement the local beverages.

There will also be live music from the band “With The Dudes.”

The event is being held on Aug. 18 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Cider Keg, 1231 Hwy 24 E, Vittoria. Patrons must be 19 or over to attend.

Tickets are available from participating wineries and breweries for $10 per person or at the gate for $12. Admission includes a tasting glass. Tasting tokens will be sold for $2 at the event. Tickets are also sold online at toastcoast.ca.
